Medieval Manuscripts and Facsimilies at UNM

The Medieval Manuscripts held by the University of New Mexico Libraries encompass a diverse range of documents from premodernity (est. 5th century - 16th century). These manuscripts include illuminated texts, religious works, scientific treatises, and literary pieces, each offering a unique glimpse into the medieval world. Our facsimiles, which are precise reproductions of the original manuscripts, allow for detailed study and appreciation of texts held by other libraries without risking damage to the fragile originals.
